The MIT Type Polymer Suspension Insulator is designed to fix and support transmission network cables up to 800 kV, with mechanical loads up to 240 kN.
It is composed of an epoxy resin core reinforced with high-temperature-resistant glass fiber, wrapped in an HTV silicone rubber compound. This compound is fixed to the connection hardware through radial compression with ultrasonic control, preventing core fractures.
We maintain high standards of quality and raw material control, with validations conducted through tests in both external and internal laboratories.
Maurizio currently boasts the most modern manufacturing facility in Brazil in this segment, equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and processes that ensure excellent functionality, outstanding performance, superior quality, and long product life.
• Composed of HTV silicone, free of EPDM and its alloys, with HC1 hydrophobicity and high resistance to ultraviolet (UV) rays and weathering.
• High resistance to inclined plane electrical tracking (>4.5 kV/mm).
• The project is developed to guarantee excellent performance against electrical fields and complete sealing of interfaces.
• Advanced direct injection process to prevent partial discharges and tracking.
• Vandal-resistant insulators.
• Use of anti-corona rings on insulators installed on lines above 138 kV.
• Light gray color, which minimizes visual impact, contributing to the integration of the lines with the local environment.
The design complies with ABNT / ANSI / IEC standards.
