The MPD-Type Polymer Arrester was developed to operate in distribution networks at voltages ranging from 3 to 36 kV.
It is specifically designed to protect transformers, capacitor banks, primary substations, lines, and branches against atmospheric discharges and switching surges.
The Metal Oxide Varistors (MOV) are enclosed in a cage made of reinforced fiberglass rods, providing a rigid structure that ensures high mechanical resistance.
The Silicone Rubber casing, which is resistant to UV radiation and various weather conditions, is vulcanized directly onto the Metal Oxide Varistors (MOV), metal rods, and terminals. This process fully encapsulates the components, leaving no voids or gaps, resulting in an excellent sealing system.
The arrester is equipped with an automatic switch-off mechanism, with an actuation curve that coordinates with 12K type fuse links.
Designed in accordance with ABNT, ANSI, and IEC standards
