Line Surge Arrester

MAURIZIO Type MPT Transmission Line Lightning Arresters are designed to prevent faults and short circuits in power lines caused by lightning or switching overvoltages.

These arresters have a modular construction, meaning that a Lightning Arrester for up to 144 kV can be assembled using modules with standardized nominal voltages.

They offer high resistance to torsional and bending forces.

The Metal Oxide Varistors (MOV) are enclosed in a cage made of reinforced fiberglass rods, providing a rigid structure and ensuring high mechanical resistance.

The silicone rubber casing, resistant to UV radiation and various weather conditions, is vulcanized directly onto the Metal Oxide Varistors (MOV), metal rods, and terminals, fully incorporating the components without leaving any voids or gaps. This provides an excellent sealing system.

The design complies with ABNT / ANSI / IEC standards.
