The Type MSB By-Pass Disconnector Switch was developed to operate in distribution networks, at voltages of 15, 27 and 38 kV and currents of 400 to 630A.
Developed for transfer switching operations in distribution networks with nominal voltages up to 38 kV and nominal currents up to 630 A.
They are commonly used for maintenance of reclosers or voltage regulators without interrupting the line.
Supplied with or without mounting support, for single or double crossarms, and for direct installation on metallic structures.
Basically, they are built on U-profile bases made of hot-dip galvanized carbon steel.
The insulators used are of the support type and are supplied in polymeric material (HTV Silicone).
The polymeric insulators provide superior performance in aggressive environments with high pollution and high salinity. The leakage distance meets up to class “E – very heavy” local pollution level (SPL) and contributes to reducing the overall weight of the assembly.
The blades are manufactured from high-conductivity electrolytic copper, and their construction ensures mechanical resistance under short-circuit operating currents.
The contacts are self-cleaning, high-pressure type, with stainless steel springs and safety locking devices.
The terminals are made of electrolytic copper with a tin surface treatment by electroplating, with NEMA drilling pattern or suitable for wedge-type connectors.
They feature an eye and hook for manual operation using a hot stick or for use with a load-break tool (loadbuster).
Designed in accordance with ABNT / ANSI / IEC standards.
