The MSDD Type Disconnector Switch was developed to operate in distribution networks, at voltages of 15.27 and 38 kV and currents of 400 to 630A.
They are used in most cases for interruption and maintenance of distribution networks and branches. Capable of withstanding high levels of short circuits, due to its construction.
Supplied with or without fixing support, for single or double crossheads and direct installation on metal structures.
Basically, they are built on top of U-profile bases in hot-dip galvanized carbon steel.
The insulators used are of the support type and may be supplied in polymeric material (Silicone HTV) or vitrified porcelain in gray color.
Polymeric insulators have superior performance in aggressive environments of high pollution and high salinity, flow distance meets up to the “E – very heavy” local pollution class (SPL) and reduces the weight of the assembly.
The knives are made of high-conductivity electrolytic copper and arranged in parallel, giving much greater mechanical resistance to high short-circuit currents.
The contacts are of the high pressure self-cleaning type with stainless steel springs and safety locking devices.
The terminals are made of copper alloy with a tinned finish and NEMA drilling pattern or for WEDGE type connectors.
They have an eye and hook for manual operation using a maneuvering pole or for using a load opening device (loadbuster).
Project in accordance with ABNT / ANSI / IEC standards.
