The MTP Tilting Vertical Opening Disconnect Switch was developed to operate in substations and in a wide range of power distribution switching applications, for voltage classes from 15 kV up to 38 kV.
The tilting vertical opening (TVO) disconnect switch consists of a single base, two ceramic insulator columns, and one polymeric insulator column. The central column is articulated and operates the blades, while the two lateral columns remain fixed and support the blades.
The support structure, base, and other metallic parts are manufactured from hot-dip galvanized steel, in accordance with NBR 6323.
The equipment can be supplied according to customer requirements, suitable for installation on either concrete foundations or metallic structures.
The disconnect switch can be operated manually or by motorized actuation, using a control panel equipped with several auxiliary contact blocks. Additionally, electrical, electromechanical, or mechanical interlocking devices can be supplied as required.
Maurizio Three-Phase Disconnect Switches are tested and approved in compliance with IEC 62271 / NBR 7571 and ANSI C37-32.2002 standards.
